James R. Romanowski, M.D. serves as director of the Charlotte Shoulder Institute and has trained with many of the world’s leading shoulder surgeons. He has taught at Harvard Medical School and given presentations around the world. With an extensive sports medicine background, he has served as an assistant team physician for NFL and NHL franchises. As one of the few surgeons in the United States to have fellowship training in both Shoulder/Elbow Surgery and Complex knee reconstruction, he offers expertise for both adolescents and adults with upper and lower extremity conditions.
The physicians of the Charlotte Shoulder Institute are authors in the leading orthopedic journals as well as in textbooks published in several languages. Evidence based medicine remains a critical component in the treatment of our patients.
